A Japanese Game of Court

on September 18, 2012

This beautiful and unique card comes from Kai in Japan. It shows an ancient Kai-Awase game, which was a traditional court game. Sadly the card description is written in fairly incomprehensible English, but it seems to have been a two player game involving the painted clam shells! Kai tells me she works for a pharmaceutical company researching new medicines which sounds really interesting! She’s also used a very cute Jemima Puddleduck (Beatrix Potter) stamp on the card! Lovely!
