The World On My Doorstep

An ever-expanding postcard blog

Christmas Tree Capital of the World

on January 12, 2014

postcards2_3This awesome card comes from Derek in the USA and shows Indiana County in Pennsylvania, otherwise known as the ‘Christmas Tree Capital of the World’ where over a million trees are grown and shipped across the US every Christmas season. Surprisingly, Derek tells me, pine trees aren’t even native to the area! Well, that may be true, but they certainly seem to love it there!

I had never heard about that. Do you think they love Christmas trees? They cut them every year! 🙂
